We have different programs for kids of all ages and skill levels.  Kids learn best when they are grouped with other kids that have similar skill sets.  When choosing a program for your child, please choose a group based on the age your child will be at the end of the session, and your child's experience level. 

​Our program is flexible, so don't worry about choosing the wrong program at the beginning.  We will recommend a different program if we feel your player is ready for the next level, or you can switch your child to another program during the same session if you feel he or she is ready - just give us a call or ask your coach.  All of our programs are taught with the philosophy of FUN, CONFIDENCE and BASEBALL.  Play Ball!

Baseball Fundamentals Classes Ages 2 thru 8
Classes are the core of the Lil Sluggers curriculum.  Classes are for kids just beginning their journey into baseball, and are designed to be fast paced and fun. Kids will rotate in small groups through several drills designed to improve specific skills.  Age appropriate equipment is used to teach beginner Classes for ages 2 thru 8.  Kids are always grouped by age at the beginning of the session, and then more by age, skill level, size, etc....as the session progresses.

Instructional Program:
T-Ball for Ages 4 & 5 /Coach-Pitch for Ages 6 to 8
The T-Ball & Coach-Pitch Instructional Program is designed to prepare kids for our
NEW Saturday Lil League and "real" baseball game settings.  Players will use gloves, metal bats and level 5 safety baseballs.  This program is one step up from our Classes.  It is recommended that players complete at least one Lil Sluggers Class before registering.  You can choose to practice once during the week and play in a game on Saturdays (double-play), or just come once per week for practice or a game.
The objective of the program is to reinforce the fundamental skills learned in Lil Sluggers Skills Classes and apply them into a real game setting.  Kids are instructed how to handle all of the different situations that arise during a game, like force outs, tagging up, etc....  All of this is done in an exciting environment that will help the kids develop a real love for baseball.

Advanced Classes For Ages 6 Thru 8
Advanced Classes are for kids ages 6 thru 8,  that have completed several Lil Sluggers Classes, Coach-Pitch Instructional Leagues, or have played organized tee ball or little league.  Real baseballs, bats and gloves are used. Classes are designed to work on building and reinforcing fundamental baseball muscle memory, with each week consisting of 4 to 6 drills focusing on one phase of the game. 

Private Lessons For Ages 6 and Up
Private 30 Minute Lessons are available for Ages 6 and up.  Lessons are sold in packages of 3, 6 and 10 lessons.  Once you purchase a package, you will be able to book your private lesson online through your own online account.

School Enrichment Programs
Since 2009, Lil Sluggers has been running enrichment programs all over the city of Chicago from preschool to fifth grade.  We can design a program to fit just about any indoor or outdoor space.  Schools can choose to add an enrichment program into their budget, or ask parents to opt-in for a charge per class.  Click on the button above for more information and how to bring Lil Sluggers to your school!
