Private Lessons are available for Ages 5 and Up. Each 30 minute lesson will focus on whatever skill set you desire. Lessons are sold in packages of 6 or 10 lessons. Once you purchase a package, we will send you a link and instructions on how to book your private lessons online. Private lessons are held at Bradley Sports Center in Chicago and are taught by Chicago Baseball Academy staff.
Advanced Classes for Ages 5 thru 8
Advanced Classes are for kids ages 5 thru 8, that have completed several Lil Sluggers Classes, Coach-Pitch Instructional Leagues, or have played organized tee ball or little league. Real baseballs, bats and gloves are used. Classes are designed to work on building and reinforcing fundamental baseball muscle memory, with the goal of translating practice skills to game.
Advanced Classes are weekdays at 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30 pm and Saturdays at 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 am.
Fall Session 2: November 4th thru December 22nd
Winter Session: January 6th thru March 1st
Spring Session 1: March 2nd thru April 26th
Meet our Advanced Class & Lesson Staff....
Coach Jeff Kapp started Chicago Baseball Academy, LLC, and Lil Sluggers Chicago in April of 2009. He began playing organized baseball in 1975, and has played at just about every level since that time. He was a three-year starter for his high school team in Munster, IN, at shortstop; making all conference all three years and all-state his senior year in 1986. He went on to play third base at Purdue University for the only team in school history to make it to the College World Series Regional in Starkville, Mississippi. He also played semi-professional baseball for the Royals and had two major league try-outs with the Cincinnati Reds and one with the St. Louis Cardinals.
Coach Alex Gabbard graduated from Lane Tech in Chicago, IL, in 2012 where he was a 4 year starter and varsity captain his senior year. He attended North park University to play baseball in 2013. He transferred to Illinois State University in 2014, and was the Vice President and 3 year starting catcher for ISU Club Baseball. He has coached youth baseball for 6 years holding assistant and head coach positions from ages 11-16. Coach Alex is also the Assistant Varsity Coach at Lane Tech High School in Chicago.
